Picasso said that colors, like features, follow the changes of emotions.
Historic cities follow all of that, for they live up to the emotions of every single soul that has walked it's narrow streets, painted it's valleys, wrote about love and war, and sung for hope of a better life. And in amazing ways, some cities, reflect all of that in colors.
Guanajuato is the best example I can think of. It speaks color. In all shades, tones, textures, heights and hiding places.
Golden yellows, carmine reds, royal blues, pale sweet greens and shy pinks in secret alleys.
It's a magical, dramatic and intense town that has seen history fly by, watching quietly and living deeply. I've always been mesmerized by places like this, and whenever I visit I like to think that maybe life itself has been the one painting the town, little by little, year after year, story after story, and for legends to come ahead.
Maybe love has been the one to give it it's best colors. And maybe, just maybe, Tanne and Carlos painted it a bit more on a windy March afternoon.
